Tualatin Hills United Competitive Soccer 2015-16

Tualatin Hills United Soccer Club is proud to announce our 2016 - 2017 Competitive Soccer Program

Beginning with tryouts in May 2016, we offer the serious soccer player an opportunity to continue to develop their soccer skills and knowledge in preparation for future success.This year-long program continues through April 2017.

Update Boys Program Press Release

Our comprehensive year-round program for players born in 2007- 2002 includes:
(birth year 2008 may try-out for the 2007 program)

  • Summer team training 2 days per week, including technical training
  • Fall team training 2 days per week, including technical training
  • Spring/Winter-team training 2 days per week
  • United Futsal League-January/February
  • Flexible Winter Training-December - February
  • Weekly Fitness/Strength and Conditioning Training with Rapinoe SC (2006 and up)
  • Baseline concussion testing every two years
  • Weekly Goalkeeper Training (2006 and up)
  • Functional Training by position
  • Unity Week Camp-May 23rd- 26th, 2016
  • State Cup or President's Cup team entry fees
  • Sports Psychology Program (all teams)
  • All club administrative and coaching fees
  • All field access fees, including the use of all THPRD turf fields-all participants must have current THPRD registration
  • Referee fees for all league games
  • Participation fees for Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 OYSA League play
  • Participation fees for the 2016 United Challenge Tournament in June '16

What does a year of Competitive soccer look like?
United offers a comprehensive year-round soccer program designed to maximize both player and team success

  • May 9 &10, 12&13 and 15th: tryouts for ages U10 - High School
  • May 23rd - 26th Unity Week Camp all U10 - U14 teams
  • May, Jog-a thon Fund Raiser
  • May - July team training and tournaments
  • June - April, Fitness with Rachael Rapinoe, keeper training, sports psychology programs
  • June 24-26: United Challenge Tournament
  • July/August Local Tournaments
  • July Summer Camp
  • Club-Wide Meeting and New Family Meeting TBA
  • Sept - October: Fall League, Portland metro area, some out of area travel
  • November: OYSA President's Cup
  • December - March: Winter Training
  • Beaverton School District Winter Break = Club Break
  • January - February Winter Training/ United Futsol League 1-3 times per week
  • March - April: Spring League/State Cup
  • May 2017: State Cup Finals /Tryouts

(**) Payment Plan takes an initial deposit at team acceptance and then automatically bills your credit card or debit card four more equal payments on 6/15, 7/15, 8/15 and 9/15. Once your player has been assigned to a team you can make a credit card payment for all or part of your fees.
There is a $20 tryout fee that will applied to your club fees at team acceptance.

Please note that THUSC has a no-refund policy as outlined in our Club Handbook. Some special circumstances may qualify for prorated refunds. By accepting your child's posittion on a team you are committing to pay the full fees for the year.

Financial Assistance Information and Application - Here

THPRD RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT

All players participating in this program must have a current THPRD account and THPRD ID number before registering for the league. Players that reside outside of the THPRD boundaries will need to pay the THPRD out-of-district assessment fee for the season. To verify in-district or out-of-district residency status, please visit www.thprd.org/activities/residencyinfo.cfm or call the Athletic Center, 503-629-6330.

Not included in fees outlined above:

  • Uniforms and personal equipment: uniform packages, shin guards, ball (approximate cost $280 for jerseys, shorts, socks, bag and warm-up jacket/pants) Current uniform kits will be used through April 2017.
  • Participation fee, coach's expenses and personal travel expenses for any other tournaments
  • Coaches travel outside the Portland Metro area (defined in club handbook)
  • Team equipment (newly formed teams may elect to purchase team bench and canopy)

    Competitive Program Multi-player discount:

    (Please email to request the discount)
    1st player pays full fees.
    2nd player 10% discount for only 2nd player, pays 90% of fees.
    3rd player 20% discount for only 3rd player, pays 80% of fees.
    4th player or more. 30% discount for only 4th plus player. Pays 70% of fees.


    Please note that 4 hours of volunteer time is expected per Competitive player at a United Tournament each year.
