About the Tournament
The 2002 United Invitational Soccer Tournament is intended for competitive teams in 2002-2003 age groups Boys U12-U18, and Girls U12-U18 (view age chart). The United Invitational is one of the most competitive tournaments in the Pacific Northwest, featuring teams from throughout the US and Canada.

Most tournament games are held in Beaverton, Oregon (just outside of Portland) at the Howard M. Terpenning Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District sports complex, located at 158th and Walker Road. This facility was the home site for Nike's World Masters Games and is the site of the ODP Nike Friendship Cup. The complex features five (5) full-size lighted fields which are maintained year-round and are some of the best quality fields in the state.

Each team is guaranteed 4 games, with no more than 2 games per day. Because of the popularity of this tournament, games are played over a 4-day period: Friday through Monday. Your team should expect to play games as early as 8:00am on Friday June 28th, 2002. The last match on Friday thru Sunday will complete at approximately 10:00pm, and the last match on Monday will complete at approximately 6:00pm.

Teams are placed into either the "Gold" or "Silver" group based on the information provided in your tournament application. The highest level teams are placed in the Gold group, with the other teams in the Silver group. Approximately 80% of the teams entering are high level teams and are placed in the Gold group.

Due to the competitive nature of this tournament and to ensure fair results in all matches, our requirements for age verification and medical releases are extremely stringent. Please consult our Rules of Competition (PDF format) for the exact details and requirements. We do not make exceptions to the administrative requirements set forth in the Rules of Competition.

We STRONGLY recommend that you get your application in early. Last year, the tournament was full by May 15! The 2002 Fee is $495.

Snickers State Cup Semi-Finalists: Apply to the tournament immediately! If you will be attending the Region IV competition, we will refund your entry fee in full with no penalties!

Please contact with any specific questions.

Feedback Appreciated
Though we try very hard to put on the best tournament in Oregon, there is always room for improvement. If you participated in the tournament and liked or disliked things, we want to hear from you. Please email with your feedback.
